Underwriters are responsible for underwriting residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with bank and secondary market standards. To provide appropriate communication with Clients and other internal and external customers. Meet all performance standards and goals established by the bank. Complete all required training. Utilize published Program Guidelines, and Policies and Procedures applicable to the job function.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Eligible to manage or perform underwriting requirements under Mortgage Investor or government agency guideline requirements.
Incumbents will typically possess 4 or more years of mortgage loan underwriting experience and be responsible for mortgage loans of complex nature including conventional and non-conforming loans. May be required to assist in the training of less experienced underwriters and residential origination staff members.
