This role will be primarily responsible for Credit Risk Account Management in support of SunTrust’s Consumer and Business Credit Card The position will perform account management analytics to develop and implement credit strategies, develop campaign criteria across multiple decision platforms, as well as design and implement champion-challenger tests to optimize the portfolio performance according to SunTrust risk appetite. The position requires advanced knowledge and awareness of credit card compliance and regulatory requirements (CARD Act, Reg B etc.) for strategies and risk management activities. The position will lead software and system configuration projects to deploy credit strategies and must be well versed in decision engine and underwriting systems (ACAPS, Strata, TRIAD, FICO, ACS, etc.) and will be tasked with handling multiple projects and system related responsibilities. The position will work closely with the internal partners (technology, operations, business, finance, and risk management etc.) and external partners (credit agencies, data aggregators, etc.) to ensure alignment of objectives with the Cards business.
‐ Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external system/vendor partners (First Data, FICO, credit agencies, etc.).
‐ Responsible for development and implementation of Credit Card account management strategies across all channels and platforms. Work cross functionally with business, risk management and other teams to develop appropriate account management strategies that meet business objectives.
‐ Review and develop strategy performance reports on a routine basis and promote champion vs. challenger processes.
‐ Develop, review, and create documentation for decision engine requirements for implementation, lead user acceptance testing and post implementation monitoring to ensure error free execution.
‐ Work with risk management to formally document and maintain credit strategies and policies.
‐ Participate in campaign management meetings / deliverables and develop campaign reporting with cross functional teams and analyze / communicate results
‐ Participate and lead in operational systems matters to identify, recommend, and drive solution.
‐ 10 years demonstrated credit experience.
‐ 2 years line of business experience in Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Mortgage, Private Client Services (PCS), or Retail.
‐ Masters degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, or related quantitative discipline from a U.S. accredited institution.
‐ Solid financial analytic skills, proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
‐ Proficiency with programming skills (e.g. Visual Basic, C++, Java, SQL)
‐ Advanced programming in SAS
‐ Most recent work experience is 4+ year experience in credit cards portfolio management or portfolio acquisition with recognized credit card issuer
