The Treasury & Payment Solutions (T&PS) Pricing Team serves as deal pricing experts for products within TP&S for the entire bank. T&PS offers over 50 unique product solutions to clients from Small Business Banking to Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking. In order to optimize both our competitive position with our clients and SunTrust’s profitability, we assist the sales teams to develop relationship pricing on a deal-by-deal basis, as well as, to develop pricing strategies on a macro level.


The Pricing Specialist provides pricing expertise and advisory across T&PS products, including treasury services, commercial card and deposits. The role reviews deals at a relationship level and contributes to the overarching pricing strategy for the business. The individual in this position will be expected to understand complicated pricing analytics and translate these into themes and strategies that can be clearly communicated to leadership and internal partners.


A Strong Candidate will: 

  • Be self-motivated to manage a variety projects with varying timelines and urgency
  • Possess strong financial and analytical skills (be highly proficient in Excel)
  • Be able to gather and synthesize ideas for developing and managing products
  • Be comfortable creating and interpreting revenue and expense forecasts
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to tackle a sharp learning curve
  • Project a polished and professional image to internal partners and senior management
Deal Pricing & Pricing Strategy:
  • Respond to pricing requests including a mix of treasury management services , commercial card and deposits within established turnaround requirements
  • Manage and enhance sales tools and models such as the deposit calculator, complete pricing pro forma and Treasury Management Information System (TMIS)
  • Develop product level knowledge to serve as SME for pricing of complex client relationships
  • Discuss T&PS opportunities with the sales team as part of a broader banking relationship profitability
  • Review market data and product developments to provide recommendations on our overall pricing strategy
  • Design, manage and enhance sales tools and models
 Pricing Strategy, Data Analytics and Competitive Intelligence:
  • Perform scenario modeling to evaluate impact of price changes to specific clients or client subsets
  • Work with internal finance & LOB partners to ensure cost and profitability are accurately calculated, maintained and communicated
  • Manage relationships with select third party providers’ of competitve data
  • Develop feedback loop with sales partners to obtain additional competitive insights
  • Support ad hoc analytical and presentation requests from Team Lead, Head of Liquidity and Pricing and other T&PS leaders
  • Provide thought leadership support T&PS growth goals and other initiatives

Partnering with Team & Stakeholders: 

  • Serve as connection point with Account Analysis team by developing knowledge of our system and practices
  • Work across T&PS to gain exposure to a variety of teammates and learn how SunTrust and Treasury & Payment Solutions serves our clients from sales through implementation
  • Update product specific documents and forms that are internal and client-facing
  • Develop internal and/or external communications regarding products supported in conjunction with communications team
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and/or other cross-functional teammates as needed to address product specific questions/concerns
  • Act as a good risk steward to ensure that our team and partners utilize best practices to document processes and mitigate risks


Basic Qualifications:

  • Seven years related experience in product management OR line experience working with products.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Financial analysis, Project management.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize ideas for developing and managing products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing.
