The Treasury and Payment Solutions Readiness team is responsible for ensuring comprehensive client and teammate readiness for product launches/enhancements, major initiatives, strategic capability development of our teammates to provide consultative solutions in alignment with our Wholesale vision and SunTrust Purpose, and continuous improvement of business performance. The scope of the Readiness team encompasses product education, content management, communications, leadership and professional capability development, and teammate engagement. The team’s output consists of tangible deliverables such as training programs and communications, and content delivered across a variety of written and online vehicles.


The team provides effective and consistent development and/or deployment of sales enablement approaches (capability development solutions, communications, collateral and tools, marketing, etc.) for clients and teammates to support top line growth and drive market share. The team is also responsible for client communications regarding product-related incidents, launches, regulatory changes, and migrations. 


Manage teammates on the Readiness Team, providing development coaching, work content reviews, issue management, and leading continuous improvement of team work processes and output


Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive readiness strategies and tactics (training, communications, change management, marketing), specific to Treasury and Payment Solutions that address the business needs of our internal and external stakeholders. Plan, organize, oversee and track internal T&PS education programs, promotional activities, presentations and related content that support sales/go-to-market strategies. Oversee needs analysis, accurately identify purpose for requested readiness solutions as a basis for customized program development. Ensure design and execute on implementation of effective sales, product and other client and teammate-related readiness and engagement programs across T&PS. Identify program objectives and critical success factors. Measure, document, track and report on ROI of readiness initiatives, including cost benefit analysis, lessons learned, demand management, etc.

Maintain effective relationships with internal, LOB, and functional partners to co-create readiness strategies and measure success on an ongoing basis. Partner to forecast and coordinate internal and external readiness needs as required.


Work with enterprise and WHL-level functional partners (e.g., Learning, Corporate Communications, Operations) to implement effective and efficient future state operating models that optimize the use of bank resources.


Self-directed and strong ability to prioritize effectively, with good judgment as to when leadership input is necessary. Able to self-monitor progress against objectives, and proactively keep leadership apprised of plans, key issues, coordination required, etc. Able to anticipate and autonomously troubleshoot potential problems that may occur during the life of a project. Able to create, manage, and meet all schedules.


 Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of identifying, designing and implementing client and teammate product and professional education/readiness and engagement programs
  • Knowledge of the application of readiness programs to generate successful sales performance results
  • 10 years of experience applying communications, curriculum design, teaching and/or instruction for adult individuals and groups
  • 7 years project management experience
  • 4 years of experience managing people
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) with the ability to link operations, risks, and financial data to evaluate needs, impact, ROI, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism, and the ability to engage others
  • Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work cross-functionally; able to collaborate effectively inside department and across the organization
  • Highly structured; excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate and interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Process improvement skills


Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Organizational Development or similar degree
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in banking, financial services, treasury and/or cash management or sales industries
  • Knowledge and/or experience in change management methods
  • Knowledge and/or experience in leadership development and engagement methods
  • Demonstrated creativity and analytical ability
  • Experience in Treasury or cash management environment
  • Experience leading a Sales team, preferably a treasury sales team
