Job Description

Implementation and ongoing monitoring of investment plans and strategies for assigned accounts within established time guidelines.  Monitoring will include rebalance of accounts to bring asset allocation into line with investment objectives, implementation of  changes in overall IAG strategy, reduction in concentrated or non-approved asset positions, management of cash positions, and changes in client objectives.   Create proposals for shared authority accounts on a regular and timely basis.


Proactive client contact (via phone or face to face) providing advice to clients.  Meet new business revenue goal of $100k or more and provide referrals to Premier and/or Retail banking.  Partner with the client facing TA and or other business partners to bring all of SunTrust to the Client.  Utilize Communication tools including E-Communication, Summitview, Saleforce and Client Investment Reviews to share investment updates both internally and externally.


Monitoring and mitigation (when necessary) of compliance issues and guidelines for assigned accounts to include creating compliance system rules based on investment policy trade restrictions (do not buy, do not sell), any securities that are subject to Letters of Direction, or custom asset allocations.


Create new business proposals, maintain expert knowledge of investment solutions available & market/economic environment, participate in special projects or teams.




Knowledge, Education, Certification, Licenses

Required:   Undergraduate degree required with a concentration in finance or related business field preferred.


Preferred: MBA, CFA, and/or CFP


Skills and Abilities

Required:  Intermediate/advanced technology skills, including MS Office products.  Very strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously.  Solid verbal and written communication.  Ability to work in collaborative environment.





Required:  Typically has 7 or more years of investment or relevant business experience.  Knowledge of moderate to complex investment solutions.


Preferred:  Portfolio management of trust and investment management accounts, knowledge of fiduciary policy requirements.
