The Corporate Recruiter serves as relationship recruiter with efforts focused on direct external sourcing and recruiting of senior level professional, technical or management position vacancies. Provides workflow direction to support staff (Recruiting Coordinators). Acts as mentor and leader to less experienced recruiters. Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sourcing plan to sustain candidate flow through internal and external vehicles. Focuses on developing and implementing innovative, pro-active recruitment strategies to address both short-term and long-term talent acquisition needs. Highly skilled and experienced in external search techniques, including direct solicitation, research, database mining and networking. Authorized to use budgeted funds to purchase additional sourcing tools as necessary. Independently consults with hiring managers and business leaders of assigned LOB’s/territories, with a focus on developing recruitment strategies, providing market and competitor intelligence and building longer-term recruiting plans. Makes recommendations to managers on the use of third party vendors. (agencies) and manages vendor relationship on behalf of SunTrust and the client. Ensures OFCCP compliance by determining applicant pool. Pre-screens and interviews candidates to assess qualifications against position. Uses judgment and applies legal knowledge to assemble a slate of qualified applicants for manager interviews. Ensures compliance with all hiring laws. Administer assessments, reviews and approves results of all background investigations. Consults and makes recommendation to manager on hiring decision. Ability to develop, negotiate and close complex hiring deals with detailed knowledge of executive compensation components. Produces hiring documents. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements for external candidates:
6 years experience in recruiting including sourcing, interviewing and construction of offers for executive and senior level exempt positions. Experience in external search skills such as direct solicitation, networking and research. External Researcher must have 3 years demonstrated proficiency in sourcing mid-level exempt positions utilizing databases and direct solicitation.
Minimum requirements for internal candidates:
3 years experience as a SunTrust Recruiter with demonstrated proficiency in external search techniques OR 3 years in a SunTrust position with demonstrated experience and responsibility for interviewing and hiring decisions in a LOB. Internal Researcher candidates must have 3 years of recruiting experience with an emphasis on research and direct solicitation.
