Reports directly to Group LOB and supports assigned Regions within the Group. Responsible for enhancing the growth and profitability of the fiduciary business segment while mitigating risk and adhering to all applicable compliance regulations or state laws, which govern fiduciary administration. May participate in Regional Wealth Management leadership teams. Provides functional matrix management to Personal Trust Advisors and supports sales and client retention goals by offering solutions and ideas. Responsible for fiduciary oversight of personal trust account book of business. Involved in the supervision of all fiduciary decisions and activities (e.g., account acceptance, exercise of discretionary authority, document interpretation, etc.) and in a variety of risk mitigation initiatives (e.g., documented support for asset concentrations, implications of changes in applicable federal and state laws, Uniform Trust Code implementation, etc). In addition they are accountable for partnering with LOB and other corporate oversight groups to ensure adherence to all applicable STI policies, procedures and regulations. Excellent ability to apply sophisticated financial and estate planning solutions.
Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including determined by SunTrust to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act.Qualifications
Typically has greater than 7 years of extensive experience in Trust/Estate administration with deep industry knowledge. Has an undergraduate degree. An advanced professional degree is strongly preferred (e.g. CTFA, JD, MBA or CPA). Demonstrated leadership abilities. Broad financial services knowledge including but not limited to alternative investments.
