Handles inbound service calls from customers, while looking for sales referral opportunities for personal banking products and services. Answers customer questions within set standards. Resolves problems and complaints customers may have about banking products and services. Supports Specialty Care Private Banking, Investment Banking, and Commercial clients as a point of contact for resolving customer care issues in lieu of the client having an assigned Relationship Manager. Conducts research in order to resolve the most complex customer care issues.
Has demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Treasury management servicing, Commercial loan servicing, Wire transfer servicing, Specials services offered to wealthy/affluent client base. Has demonstrated product knowledge and customer service experience. Assumes leadership role within unit in place of the manager as well as leads/mentors less experienced staff. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of explaining to clients, RMs, senior management and other support areas solutions to complex problems.
Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including determined by SunTrust to meet the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of client service and/or sales experience
- Previous PC and typing experience
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated job stability
- Banking and/or call center experience
- Previous success within a performance driven environment
