The product manager is responsible for management of liquid-secured (e.g. secured by investments, CDs, Savings, etc.) products, currently: Secured Credit Line (SCL), Stock Loan, CD Secured Loan. Product management spans product design and features, pricing and promotional offers, market coverage, all components of distribution and client interaction, portfolio maintenance and management, and marketing. The product manager coordinates and collaborates with various business partners, especially those in Private Wealth, responsible for specific components of the above responsibilities to drive profitable growth of the products and an excellent client experience while ensuring regulatory and legal compliance.
•Manage business as usual (BAU) product & portfolio activities:
◦Portfolio monitoring (margin call monitoring, exception rate pricing, vintage/mix shifts, demographic shifts, etc.)
◦On-going product assessment to ensure appropriate competitive offering
◦Client needs & complaint management
◦Financial performance (production & spread performance)
•Lead implementation of strategic initiatives or testing of new marketing campaigns in alignment with annual goals
•Manage servicing, default and loss mitigation attention on existing accounts as needed
•Represent the product when participating in various forums lead by other business partners designed to monitor credit quality, marketing campaigns, sales & financial performance, client complaints, etc.
•Respond to ad hoc requests related to the product such as:◦Material for Financial Profitable Growth Meeting (PGM) decks
◦Material needed for Portfolio Management Committee (PMC) meetings or strategic planning
◦Legal, Compliance or Regulatory inquiries
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
•Strong communication and time management skills. The product manager does not have direct reports, but instead leverages shared resources and influences business partners to complete projects and achieve goals.
•Ability to identify, research, and resolve problems independently. The product manager is largely autonomous and is responsible for providing direction of behalf of Consumer Solutions to various business partners in alignment with established goals.
•Proven & balanced sense or risk/return trade-off.
•Experience in consumer lending; product management, risk management, or analytics
•Experience managing projects
