The Credit Strategy Specialist is a member of the Private Wealth Management Credit Solutions group. Collaborates with the Client Advisor on loan transactions, primarily for the PWM Core client segment. Serves as a liaison with the Centralized Lending Unit (CLU) and Consumer Lending partners (the PLC) as the key point person for all Lower Total Borrowing Exposure (LTBE, defined as <$5MM TBE) deals and for complex consumer deals. Provides value to the client and the business by overseeing LTBE deals from application to closing. Manages Obstacles and resolves issues to improve speed to market; elevates issues to Senior Management as appropriate. Supports the Credit Advisor on an as needed basis. Actively educates/advises team on pricing, profitability, and best practices. Continuously works to stay current and maintain a full understanding of the Operating Model, Processes, Credit Policy/Procedures, Regulatory Requirements, Bank Products, and Delivery Channels. Qualifications
Required: In-depth understanding of LOB specific complex client entity structures, the related credit facility structuring and associated risks. Strong knowledge of commercial, consumer and advisory credit.
In-depth understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of traditional bank products and services including deposits, credit cards, mortgages, etc. Basic knowledge of all Private Wealth Management products and services.
Preferred: Experience with real estate transactions and lending solutions for corporate entities.

Flexible; readily adapts to change and new products, systems or methods. Excellent proven oral and written communication skills. Strong coaching skills with ability to develop relationships with internal partners and the client to influence credit related matters. Fully understands the credit process, financial analysis, underwriting and making recommendations.
Preferred: Word, Excel and Power Point skills preferred. Undergraduate degree with Accounting, Finance or Business major preferred. Solid knowledge of STI Credit policy.
Required: 4 years of extensive commercial or private lending experience.
Preferred: 5-6 plus years direct commercial lending or private lending experience.
