The UX Director will be responsible for providing world class user experiences and UX strategies for SunTrust digital products, taking extensive design knowledge and coupling it to business goals. They will partner with a specific line of business (LOB) and marketing, project management, product management and customers. They will lead design teams to drive the product design process from conceptualization, research, functional design, user interface, through implementation and usability review.

You will partner with a line of business (LOB) marketing, project management, product management and customers to lead the design of innovative, industry leading products. You will lead design teams to drive the product design process from conceptualization, research, functional design, user interface, through implementation and usability review. This position reports to the SVP Enterprise Client Experience Design.
Be a passionate and strong advocate for the user(client)
Be UX business lead for a SunTrust segment(Wholesale or Consumer)
Build expert domain knowledge of your LOB and partner closely with business leads
Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences
Champion creating a differentiated and competitive client experience
Ensure that design decisions are based on good data, best practices and research
Partner with the Director of UX Research to move the client to the center of our business
Collaborate with Executive Creative Director to advance visual design execution
Work with the Ops Manager to pipeline and scope work coming into the LOB
Run multiple projects associated with the different products of your LOB
Manage designers to deliver on-time designs for product iterations
Possible occasional travel(10%)Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Architecture, Human Factors or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years in User Experience Design.
Demonstrated expertise in the following : user research, user centered design(UCD), information architecture(IA), content strategy, usability testing, need finding, participatory design, prototyping, wireframing, web analytics(e.g. conversion analysis).
Proficiency in working on multiple platforms: Web, mobile web, tablet, ATM or kiosk
Original thinker. Creative and flexible problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Approachable, team player with strong oral, written, and visual communication skills.
MS in UX / Interaction Design / Human-Computer Interaction or related field.
Technical background or knowledge also considered ideal but not required.
Knowledge of UI frameworks e.g: Google Material Design, React, Bootstrap.
Competent visual design / sketching skills.
Experience in agile development / Lean UX
Experience working in Financial Services
