The GenSpring Family Wealth Analyst is both a client service position and staff support for our Family Investment Officers (FIOs) and Family Wealth Advisors (FWAs).

 

For client service you will be  responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of the firm services to a portfolio of client families within Florida West and potentially across multiple geographies.  You are expected to provide proactive and responsive client service. As a result, this position establishes a trusting professional relationship with GenSpring Family Office (Company) clients and their staff.

 

This position may require meeting with clients on a periodic basis, although substantial client contact is typically via telephone and email. Research analysis and transactions are generated by the client service staff to be of sound judgment, accurate, timely and in accordance with the client's mission and objectives.

 

As part of the GenSpring team, your duties include working closely with FIOs and FWAs our client’s outside specialized professionals and with other team members and GenSpring professionals.

 

The Analyst reports directly to the regional  managing director (MD)) and is responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of GenSpring's services to a portfolio of client families.  The Analyst will work as part of a service team which includes the FWA and FIO.  The Analyst is expected to establish a trusting professional relationship with the GenSpring Family Office (Company) clients and their staff, and is a valued team member responsible for meeting certain client satisfaction goals, as well as Company  Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the MD and others in management. 

 

The Analyst candidate must be a team player in the coordination and timely delivery of Company services to clients, and must possess good problem solving skills. Although good teamwork is essential, the Analyst candidate must also be able to work independently if teammates are unavailable. 

In assisting the FWAs on client matters, the Analyst candidate should have a basic understanding of general financial planning topics and be familiar with trust documents, partnership documents, and other basic wealth planning documents commonly utilized in income tax, estate and asset protection planning. 

 

In assisting the FIOs on client matters, the Analyst should have a basic understanding of asset allocation, investment policy statements, performance reporting, cash flow implications of a portfolio, and rebalancing and re-allocating client portfolios using a variety of different investment vehicles.

 

Research analysis and deliverables generated by the Analyst need to be of sound judgment, accurate, timely and in accordance with the client's mission and objectives.

 

Assisting the FWA in the following:

¨      Assist in the development and implementation of wealth management plans

¨      Ability to partner with clients, advisors, consultants and vendors

¨      Review and summarize client's legal planning documents and prepare analyses on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other software programs

¨      Provide proactive wealth management planning ideas, where appropriate, to be discussed and analyzed with teammates

¨      Prepare Client Meeting and Presentation Materials

¨      Plan and Coordinate Client Meetings

¨      Manage Special Projects for Client Families

¨      Coordinate information flow with internal staff and external professionals

¨      Manage the client contact database and a variety of other operational systems

¨      Financial control, financial statement preparation and reporting

¨      Tax planning and strategy

¨      Family communication, research and education

¨    Estate planning and trust services (strategy and coordination)

¨    Special projects (management and coordination)


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 5 or more years experience servicing high net worth clients and their families. Must have good technical skills to be able to access the appropriate systems to accomplish the needs of the client. Proven work experience in the following relevant areas; communication, presentation skills, analytical ability and detail orientation, as well as extracurricular team involvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in related field. Investment knowledge and project management, i.e. Series 6 or 7 or similar baseline broad investment knowledge.  Must be a team-player, as well as have an ability to work with an independent entrepreneurial work style. Requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a proven ability to problem solve. Excellent computer skills (MS Office) are mandatory, specifically must be able build advanced excel financial worksheets to re-balance or re-structure a client's portfolio asset allocation. Must be able to learn and multi-task in a fast paced environment, using innovation in balancing and focusing on the highest priorities first each and every day to meet system deadlines. Certificate programs such as Certified Trust Financial Advisor (CTFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) a plus or employee should be striving to achieve. Prior financial background recommended (i.e. accounting, financial statements, budgets, etc.).
