Our Commercial & Business Banking (“CBB”) team delivers locally, tailored strategies and solutions to help private companies, organizations, and municipalities with annual revenues up to $250 million manage operations, optimize the financials, and grow.  As a part of the CBB corporate middle office team, the CBB Enablement & Operations Middle Office strives to deliver solutions to the front office that enable efficient execution of the CBB strategy and realization of growth objectives and return to our shareholders.
We are searching for motivated and enthusiastic Commercial and Business Banking Rewards and Recognition Consultant (“RRC”) to join the Sales Productivity & Business Planning team reporting to the CBB middle office.  This teammate will drive the business forward by delivering reward and recognition programs that drive a high performance culture by rewarding top performers, while maintaining our commitment to the SunTrust purpose, risk management and teammate integrity. 

The Commercial and Business Banking Rewards Recognition Consultant will:
  • Design, implement and assess functional incentive plans (“FIP”) in order to encourage and reward behaviors that are client centric and consistent with strategic objectives
  • Develop and lead annual/semi-annual performance and award calibration processes
  • Advise Executive Leaders of insights related to pay-for-performance and relative correlation to financial results 
  • Engage in meaningful dialogue to influence plan changes and award alignment when opportunities are identified
  • Work closely with Human Resources to ensure that total compensation and pay mix are aligned for market competitiveness
  • Lead teammate goal setting and maintaining updated job descriptions
  • Leverage and influence partners in operations, finance and reporting areas in order to maximize the effectiveness of the function
  • Define sales reporting metrics and liaises with reporting areas for them to deliver timely and accurate reporting  
  • Serves as a FIP expert who manages ongoing FIP administration which includes record retention, risk mitigation and adherence to all company policies as well as all federal, state and local regulations
  • May also serve as the legal plan owner   


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 8+ progressive work experience with proven leadership in finance or human resources 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skill
  • Ability to build strong partnerships 
  • Ability to develop and manage strong relationships with key stakeholder
  • Ability to influence up, down and horizontally
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Highly detailed and analytical
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills - PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Preferred Requirements:
  • 10+ years designing and administering incentive plans in financial services or significant HR work
  • 10+ years leadership experience (without or without direct reports)
  • Project management experience 
  • Proficiency with MS Access
