Job Description

Configures and installs complex information systems (including hardware and software) that have been purchased. Advises the project/support team during negotiations on complex technical aspects of information systems and products to ensure accurate information. Performs cost-benefit assessments and provides technical advice on large, difficult, or strategic vendor negotiations. Collaborates with the project/support team to estimate costs and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing information systems products to meet business needs. Configures and installs the hardware and software components of systems that have been purchased to meet business requirements and integrate with their existing systems. Prepares complex flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions. May prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance and development of the system. Typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives. Solves complex technical and operational problems. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience. May have people management responsibilities for a small team.

 Job Specific Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrable experience with at least three of the following areas:
  • Thorough understanding of Windows Server  and Client Operating Systems
  • Cisco UCS Manager, Cisco UCS Director, Cisco Server hardware (Chassis & Blade configurations).
  • Dell OpenManage and Dell hardware configurations.
  • Dell Thin Clients with ThinOS/WES and Wyse Device Manager.
  • Application layering technologies App Volumes, Unidesk, or Liquidware Labs
  • VDI hosted on VMware and/or Hpyer-V hyperviors
  • Mobile application delivery with Mam/MDM solutions such as XenMobile, Good Dynamics, Blackberry, or Airwatch.
  • Enterprise implementations of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScalers
  • Automation with PowerShell, PowerCLI, VBScript and Orchestrator tools.
  • AD Group policy and Citrix Client Side Extensions
  • Application layering technologies App Volumes, Unidesk, App-V,or Liquidware Labs
  • User profile management Appsense, Citrix profile management, or roaming profiles
  • Incident management with problem isolation and resolution skills


Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in and 5 years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or financial services experience.
