Estate administration functions as part of PWM to administer estates and interim trusts for our Private Wealth and Premier Banking clients. These same services are also available to clients that may not have a current relationship with SunTrust .
The Estate Advisor handles estate relationships, usually consisting of a multi-entity strategy implementing the most sophisticated estate planning techniques in difficult and dynamic family relationships.
This may involve multiple trusts, partnerships, LLCs or corporate structures, in addition to sophisticated gifting strategies for multi-generational family situations or split marriage arrangements. The individual may be involved in the creation, implementation and administration of the entities and structures proposed or operated.
The individual would also be instrumental in new business efforts to assist Regional Trust Advisors and Client Advisors, working with financial planners and investment strategists, to attain sales and investment production goals.
Minimum requirements: 5 years of fiduciary experience with a superior foundation in trust/estate administration or related field. Has developed a distinct specialty in some area of estate planning. Knowledgeable in all facets of fiduciary administration, document interpretation, and the legal and regulatory framework within which the specialty is required to operate. Bachelor degree.
Preferred requirements: Has obtained or is working toward an advanced degree or license/certification (e.g. JD, MBA, CPA, CTFA or CFP).
