This role is part of the Business Deposits and Liquidity Product Team within Treasury & Payment Solutions (T&PS). This team is responsible for overseeing $70B+ in deposits, and serves as a bridge between T&PS, Corporate Treasury and the seven SunTrust Lines of Business (LOBs). These LOBs include the Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, Commercial Bank, Commercial Real Estate, Business Banking Metro, Private Wealth Management, and Small Business Banking.
The T&PS Liquidity and Pricing Analyst will work with the Portfolio Rates Manager on a set of deposit products. Responsibilities will include forecasting, data analytics, industry analysis, performance and profitability, project management, teammate training, and sales execution. To achieve high-level results the analyst will need to partner closely with teammates across the organization. This teammate will be in a unique position to influence the broader organization by utilizing product insights, providing in-depth analysis and executive level reports. This role is ideal for an individual who has a economics or finance background who is looking to be in a Product Management role, but may not have the required/relevant experience.
Provide management reporting for product performance analytics, price benchmarking, and competitive landscape.
Participate in scenario testing / financial modeling analysis on relationship pricing changes.
Prepare data, analysis and recommendations for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Prepare, analyze and provide commentary for Corporate Liquidity Product Specialist (CLPS) performance.
Partner with Relationship Pricing Team and Rates Manager to track changes to deposit interest rates and prepare recommendations for necessary changes .
Manage deposit and pricing performance team initiatives reporting designed to update executive leadership on influential projects.
Under direction of Product Managers develop and support business cases for new product ideas.
Partner with Product Managers to measure success of pilot programs and rates.
Partner with Product Managers to continually inspect product profitability.
Partner with Corporate Treasury and T&PS Finance to provide product and business expertise for internal forecasts, DFAST, CCAR and other regulatory submissions.
Understand product life cycle and design as related to marketing, technology, regulatory, legal and compliance requirements.
Five years related experience in product management OR line experience working with products. Professional communication skills.
Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Marketing. MBA strongly preferred.
Financial analysis. Project management.
Minimum of 2 years in Commercial deposits, Treasury Management, Corporate Treasury-related, Business Management, or Finance/Economic role.
Must possess strong financial and analytical skills (expert in Excel.)
Comfortable creating and interpreting balance and revenue forecast models.
Proven ability to participate and exert leadership influence on cross-functional teams.
Projects a polished and professional image.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (expert in PPT/Word.)
Ability to handle multiple projects at once balancing short-term deliverables against strategic long-term solutions.
Understanding of market dynamics (demand/supply curves, marginal cost of funds, etc…)
Strives for personal excellence and has a proven track record of successfully executing against initiatives with goal-oriented results.
Ability to synthesize data, create reports and presentations to communicate complicated materials via a fact-based and easy-to-understand method.
